pain? it's ok for you to shave at 18. try gel... it's just shaving cream in gel form and it turns to cream after you move it around.

shave after a shower so your facial hair is the softest. then put the shaving cream/gel on your face and wait 5 mins. this will help prepare your skin. if you have sensitive skin (it sounds like you may) then buy shaving cream/gel for sensitive skin. go slow when you shave and make sure you use AFTER SHAVE. this will help your skin from any post shave pain.

Shaving gel and good razor and some after shaving lotion as in moisturiser not as in the male perfume. And yes its fine to shave if you want to. Good luck

Gel works well. You're probably pressing too hard on the shaver or using a dull blade. Shouldn't have pain.
