my wife has just had it. she is 46, me 49. she's otherwise fit, but i find her skin is getting rough fast. she rather until recently was very demanding. she used to love at least once a day, more the better. but now, i find her not that eager. she can now stay apart physically. her pre-action secretion has also come down to almost zero.

I am a surgical menopause woman. While I didnt loose my attraction for sex, my body did change in the amount of secretions it produced. But, there are always ways around that such as a lubricant gel.

Now, it really looks to me like it is YOU that is having a harder time with it than her. Have you really looked at your relationship with her? Do you like to cuddle and be in her presence or is sex the most important part of your relationship? If its the latter then maybe you need to talk to someone about that. Many women prefer cuddling to sex. You have to remember, her body is changing. You knew that would happen when you married her. If you truly love her (and I am sure you do) then you will go with the flow and let her lead the way. Get into cuddling. Show her that while there is less intercourse that she is still the most beautiful woman alive to you. If having intercourse (or the lack there of) is that important to you and not her, then maybe something is bothering her and needs to be discussed. There are thousands of reasons this could be happening. But its the reason thats not mentioned that matters the most.

I think the question you're looking for is "can a post-menopausal man..." it doesn't really sound to me like your wife is the one with the problem. Perhaps you should go to her first, ask her if everything's alright, and then bring up your points. If it's something about her that's changing that she wants to change back, go see a doctor with her. If not, well, looks like she's changing and growing and your relationship will take a test.
