I rememger in the 70's one of them tried to tell the American people that by not hanging Christmas lights we would save energy & Christmas lights haven't been the same since.

It was Richard Nixon when his deficit fell below a balanced budget. The Vietnam war had a lot to do with it to, over the constant bombings and lack of funds. Carters budget was the result of Nixon and Ford, the Republicans cried like babies when they paid their taxes.

Do you realize that Clinton repaired this problem, and George Bush destroyed the deficit within 6 months of his first term?

1st, it was the desroyer of hope, Jimmy Carter.
2nd, to the first responder who saw it necessary to criticize the President's intelligence, read, write and fly fish woul be three things, not two, and therefore you would not use "either" when writing.

wish it was carter but it was Nixon.
it was about the same time did away with daylight savings time
kids had to go to school before sunrise. that did not last long

Lundstrom, he said neither, not either. And concerning this, I don't know really, but I do know who ruined his presidency and his reputation by going 007 on the Democratic Party. I didn't know he cared.

Probably Carter. But, I liked the guy. He could read and write, and fly fish. President Bush can do neither.
