I say yes - everyone has a different body and every ones body changes differently during pregnancy. With my first pregnancy it took ages for me to get a bump and the bump was tiny the whole way through, i didn't carry a lot of fluid. This time, at present I am 20 weeks and people say you don't feel the baby move till 16-20 weeks, when I had my scan at 12 weeks I could feel the baby moving he/she was flipping and turning over. The radiographer confirmed that I was correct and I could feel the baby moving. The saying is "never say never".....
They may write books on pregnancy and giving birth but speaking from experience if you notice a bump then you have a bump. no one knows your body better than you.
Good luck

I remember having my scan at 10 weeks and having already been in larger trousers (though not quite maternity clothes) for work a couple of weeks before that as my usual clothes stopped fitting. This was for my first baby - it wasn't a bump as such but my body shape changed almost immediately.
Also, to most other people I didn't look pregnant but my boyfriend and I agreed, my tummy looked very different. (First pregnancy)

Not a baby bump no. However, women start to put on fat very early in pregnancy often on the tummy. Also one of the hormones produced in pregnancy makes soft tissue relax which may leave you with a small bump as the tummy muscles relax, particularly if this is not your first baby.

Not really. I think some women are so keen to have a bump that they imagine it earlier than it could possibly be there. At 8-9 weeks the foetus if only a matter of a couple of inches long (if that).

The baby is only about an inch big but your uterus begins growing right away so if you are generally tiny I think the uterus could already be causing a small bump.

I would have thougth that 8-9 weeks is a bit too early if its afirst pregnancy but maybe not if its second or more. Although every pregnancy is unique so you never know!!!

No. The uterus stays tucked behind the pelvic bone until about week 12 when it has grown to roughly the size of an orange.
Women can begin to put on weight before this though,& clothes may feel tight with water retention etc.

Everyone is different, my first I had a bump right away. I was thin and I think it shows faster to you-others may not notice but you certainly can notice when your closes are to tight. I think the heavier you are its not as noticeable.
