What is wrong with us as people? How did mankind take such a horrible twist that turns our children into murderers? 50 years ago, heck, 10 years ago we would never have been able to listen to the news saying that some angry kid shot up his school, but now that seems to be all we hear. How in the world did this happen? What is going on in society that has done this to the youth?

Im not saying that everyone is bad or that every young person is bound to hurt someone, I know there are wonderful people in the world, I just dont understand how the gap between the good and bad has gotten so much more defined.

We live a revolution caused by scientific and technologic progresses and, as a consequence, explosion of human population.
We are at the point where the planet is not suporting - biologically - us.
This means: or we are able to change our life-style (beginning by our mind), or we are going to lead with increasingly difficult problems.
And this is what we live right now. So better be prepared to "inimaginable happenings". Remember 9/11?

Believe me, nothing has really changed, except for the environment. People are the same. There were always kids who murdered other kids; look for some very detailed history books, and you'll find that people were exactly the same 400 years ago than now.

My personal belief is the break down of the family, meaning parents becoming friends with their children instead of being parents. One of the biggest tragedies for this country is, you can make recordings using any word that comes to mind, play it on the air for all to hear or see, but you can't say a prayer in school, or mention God or Jesus! How did that happened? I never voted on that! All that is taken place right now, you can find it in your bible. Sons against daughters, father's against mother's and so on. This used to be a great country, with God in our hearts. Now we can't even mention his name in certain venues and you want to know why things are happening the way they are? Hummmm!

It's rare for good things that happen in the world to make it into the news- usually only bad things and bad people get reported.

i feel that life has become too bloody frustruating to live.... and frustruation makes people do weird things.... but i do agree with babi... people were always this way... look at history it is full of murders wars and other such violent episodes.... look at the second world war.... millions died.. for what???? what good came out of it??? i know it is scary but it is within human nature to be so ghastly...

To the youth? How about to everyone. Thank the NRA, ACLU, Republicans, law makers (or lack there of), the education system, the media coverage......
