I live on a beautiful lake with over 400 miles of shore line. It is a mountainous area with lush green grass and many trees, really a forest. All of our neighbors are quite and it is very peaceful here. I have never seen a police car on my road and the neighbors that have lived here for over 30 years have never seen a police car on this road, so we never have any trouble here. We have a herd of deer and fawns that come to our house to eat everyday, up to about fifteen of them. They are so gentle and fun to watch. We love the peacefulness here.

I live in a superb neighbourhood my neighbours are great, we are all friends, we help each other out in times of trouble and we party several times a year. Our ages range from 22 to 82 (not to mention all the kids). We have street parties, bbq's, xmas and new year parties but we are not always in each others faces. It's the only reason none of us move! Our houses are small semi's but we all value each other. We have had a few funerals which have been sad and then welcomed the newcomers. It makes such a difference to life to be so happy. Shame everyone can't be like us.

I live in Michigan, (USA)
I am not sure about being a distinguished feature, but I would love to share that my neighbor is caring.
I first moved in my house in January and My neighbors came over and introduced themselves and welcomed us to the neighborhood. They told us about the other neighbors and children in our area.
The wife came back the next day with a homemade candle that she had made herself.
Our sons play together. They are both good natured.
I was sick last week and they cut my grass for me.
They are just friendly people,

I live next to two parks - one is very pictoresque and another one is a bit wild with a little hill on the middle and full of dogs who run around and play. This is the best thing about the area, also it is nice and quiet and near city centre but not on a very busy road so it is convinient. People are pleasant and friendly as well...

I am surrounded on all sides by old people.
They are the best security force ever. I can leave my car unlocked and let my children play outside as it is so safe with the curtain twichers watching, though I cant be naughty at home, I save that till I go away.

The fact that I live right next door to a HUGE park, that the city is in the middle of making even HUGER as we speak, YEAH!!! I love it! I also love that I am right in the center of it all, I am able to get on EVERY major hwgy, I am right by the intl airport, which is the MAJOR airport, and I am able to get to the other smaller airport though it is a wee bit out of my way, and I have my choice of not one but *7* public elem. schools, *4* junior high, and*3* high schools to choose from!

My neighbourhood is safe clean and the children are polite, it is in Switzerland, the river water is also clean not green like the Thames in London and our streets don't smell of piss and kids aren't waiting to mug you. It is nice, I can even leave my door open

The people. I've just come out of hospital and I've had a succession of people knocking on the door asking how I am - even people I've thought didn't really approve of me. At one point I was reduced to tears - but in a good way.

I have two places of resedence localities. One urban and the other semi urban. I love the rural setting cos it is still relaxing and the human interaction is focused on something more than the notion how u can benifit from this relationship.
