Men cannot have relationships with men that are totally heterosexual. The act of bonding with another human being is part our mating instinct. If you were totally heterosexual you wouldn't interact socially with men at all. That being said most men are gay enough that they can have solid friendships with logical boundries. You should question the nature of your emotional bond with this man and even if it's not sexual you should considder the way it makes your wife feel. How would you feel if she excluded you from parts of her life that she shares with a female frined or put your needs after her's?

if a man could have a sexual relationship together,a business relationship together, mental relationships(gambling etc mind games)and social relationships (guys going to games etc..) then why can't you have an emotional relationship..to me if you are having what you call a emotional relationship with a guy then you are just experiencing something you haven't ever had...... a best friend ..don't think so much you are not jeopardizing your marriage or SO by having a best friend your probably making your lady happy to have a little time to herself..

yes, you take friends that are really close, emotions are involved and you can love that person with all your heart but not actually be in love with them if you understand my drift. i am a women who has a best friend that i love emotionally and unconditionally, it is hard sometimes for my husband to accept this closeness as he thinks i should be able to do things with him but sometimes you just need someone of the same sex to bond with and talk to. i am sure it is the same for a man. your partner has to learn that you have to have space to be you and should look on your friendship with another male as a good thing just as long as you do not become to emotionally involved where you can not fulfill the other parts of your life.

Yup. Consider yourself fortunate to have a friend that you feel that strongly about. Most male friendships are based on totally superfical stuff.
