How is it different from being real? Is there such thing as being against real?

This is just a usage of the English language in slang which means 'for sure, serious, without doubt' depending on how you would like to interpret it.

There is No such thing as being against real... semantically it makes no sense and it is also most probably grammatically wrong.

liars are against reality. mystics...
pretty much anyone who "can't handle the truth" is against being real.

I go to art school, trust me, plenty of talk about how nothing is real here. Most of it is just self-righteous babble.

"Keepin' it real" means: honesty, frankness, bluntness, etc

It is an antonymn to fake or false. It can be posed as a question to know if someone is feeding you questionable information... usually when their comments feel far fetched!

It means "are you being honest" or I am being honest.
