Chronic heartburn is usually from acid reflux - stomach acid is getting past the little valve and into your esophagus. You also should know some natural ways to treat your heartburn. Learn them here

The most immediate thing you can do is to stop drinking coffee and cola. Smoking is not good either, but that might be harder to stop. Don't over-eat. Don't lie down too soon after eating. Don't burp too much - this carries acid up with the burp.

Yes. I had very bad stomach acidity problems and at some point, I couldn't say where the pain came from. I gave me nausea and felt like heart problems.

I am now on medication (Prevacid) for hyper acidity and I have a normal life again! :-)

Do not take any chance though and go see a health profesionnal.

If your pain is radiating or you feel a numbness or tingling on your left side, see a doctor now. Otherwise it's probably just gas. There are many over the counter medications available to eliminate gas, Rolaids, Tums, Briosci, Pepto-Bismol and so on. These pains can be brought on by certain foods or by stress. They can be quite painful and scary. Hope you feel better.

Once you have gastric trouble, the tendency of your stomach is to bloat. There will be little space for your heart to expand because of the pressure caused by your bloated stomach.
You better see your doctor. But as a first aid, try not to eat sweets, carbonated drinks and spicy food. Drink YAKULT and eat soda crackers. This will help because I think you have ulcers.

Heart burn, but this can be mistaken for a heart related problem. Please go get it checked out. My 37 year old boss thought he had heartburn but died of a massive heart attack.
