It's one cricket. It just lifts its two back legs, while standing on the 4 front ones, and rubs them together behind itself. (Notice that the back legs are much longer than the other 4.)

A cricket rubs his back legs together to produce the noise you're hearing. It doesn't take 2 crickets to work together to make the sound. But you could be hearing 2 crickets or just the one. Cute ain't they.

Each cricket alone. They're resting on front legs. Like in Yoga!

4 legs. They rub the hind legs so the first two are firmly on the ground. They are harmless creatures. Do not do anything to them by spraying chemicals etc..

I am a nature lover and a pure vegetarian.
I do not like to kill any living thing. So, I beg of you not to do anything to them.
