What is the best investment in the world?
I am looking for an answer that will cover all investment types
I am looking for mutual or hedge funds investments
a company
real estate or something else
If possible please specify several best investments: one for up to $5000, up to $10,000, up to
$100,000 and over $1,000,000

I would have to say a home is among the best investments. It sort of falls in the category between 100,000 and 1000000 unless you live in California. I am not too certain it would be such a good investment at over a million.

For ROI it is hard to beat drugs.

I think today still teh answer is "grass roots" ~ moreover either knowing or being actively involved in teh investment process or business or what have you, there is often "security" at least from this "roots" method. Investments are based on trust. I would suggest to many that the best type of individual investment is OWNING your own residence(house/apartment or camp land or what have you)

The roulette table. Put your money on black, you have almost a 50% chance of doubling your money. You will not find those odds anywhere else. Also, the interest rate (100%) is better than any mutual fund.
