No,it's not fair, but it happens. My 21st was on a Wednesday too,but I saved my party for the weekend. You really got to work an 18 hour shift? That's really bad. Hope you have a great birthday.Good health, wealth and happiness always. X

No, it is not unfair. It's about time that you take responsibility of your life. You will find that working= freedom and control over your life. It is however an added advantage when you enjoy the work you do. Sometimes the thought of work is miserable but I think it is a normal feeling and that you will eventually get used to it, especially Payday

Depending on where you are, you can still fit in about an hour of drinking before last call. Otherwise, work has to came first. Money is money.

Of course you can call in saying something along the lines of "I have the Absolute worst headache". Sorry, I'm a bartender, kinda lame joke, but ask anyone that drinks vodka...

Not at all. You got to work anyway when you are in a job. You shall consider yourselves lucky, when you see those underprivileged children going to work instead of school at the tender age of five or six. Or worst even when they go to work first then to school. When you accept work as not a burden, you shall enjoy work better than partying. Anyway, while congratulating you on your birthday, it is just another day, what is so special.

No! When you agree to work for a company, its to work. You get time off for national holidays and for serious situations such as a death in the family or illness. If that is a problem them maybe you should find a company that recognizes your birthday.

No.....You know now that you are an adult, birthday's just aren't all that important anymore......but, if you feel your birthday is so important, plan a head for next year and get that day off!
