I just know 2 ways of playing a "G" chord on a guitar. The way I'm used to:
-3-
-3-
-0-
-0-
-2-
-3-

and the second way:
-3-
-0-
-0-

So my question, how is the real "G" chord played?

The second one is how I would play an open G chord. You can also bar the third fret and play an E chord formation (3-3-4-5-5-3 starting on the little string).

Both ways ar eabsolutely correct! Both ways are in G chord's harmony. Later if you learn reading music, learn scale and harmony you will undrestand why. Hope i helped
