You need to workout, limit the cardio to no more than 15 minutes per day for heart health, but to still to gain weight. When you lift, do like 5 sets of five reps with as much weight as you can handle without your form breaking down so you don't get injured. As far as diet goes, protein and complex carbohydrates are the key. Try to eat 5 small meals per day to keep your metabolism up so you can eat more. Tons of brown rice, whole grain pasta, chicken, lean beef, salmon, and such. Drink a protein shake as soon as you finish lifting, find one with at least 50 grams of protein per serving with at least equal carbs. When you lift you also need to do 4 main lifts, Dead lift, Squat, bench press, and shoulder press. Or you could just take riods.

For your height your weight in OK, maybe a little overweight. Ideally you should be 138-140 but 143 is still within the acceptable range. More important is where you weight mostly is. Too much around the waist for example is bad whereas if weight is mostly in muscles (which by the way is heavier than fat) than 143 is quite alright. For firmer tummy there are lots of exercise but best you attend a gyn and get professional help from the trainer who needs to see you top to bottom to determine the best cause of action.

You have to increase your calorie intake. Here are some suggestions:

1. Eat dried fruit for snacks -- these are concentrated carbohydrates.
2. An easy one: Drink a glass of real fruit juice with EVERY meal. Fruit juice is loaded with carbohydrates and calories and you don't have to stuff yourself to gain more calories.
3. Eat lots of pasta.
4. Eat lots of peanut butter and peanuts (if you are not allergic).

Also, get plenty of sleep.

Hope this helps you. Good luck, buddy.
