Yes, Google is a special noun, a name. It's not a verb, or should not be used as one. Hence, you won't find it in the spell checker. Just like you won't find people's names in there either.

BTW, Google actually went to court some time ago to stop people using the word 'Google' as a verb, as in 'googling' or 'you can google it'.

I checked. It says under Google "define":
a combination search engine and search index to information on the World Wide Web.

No wonder.
Google is a miss-spell-ed word for Googol (Gogol) which is a number that is equal to 1 followed by 100 zeros.
