self has no gender.

Hmmm...I suppose the Self, your inner being, would be genderless, a mind, consciousness, soul or spirit without a sex but it's hard for us to think of ourselves without gender because much of our sense of self comes from our physical makeup and our gender (how we were socialized growing up etc). I can't help but think of my Self as female. It's so much a part of who I am. Or maybe souls do have genders?... Interesting question!

Self got gender but non-self doesn't have any gender.

Just like water that does not have a form and takes on the shape of the vessel that it is put in, the self behaves the same way. Self takes on the female, the male or bisexual form (as found in a few insects.)
