In the US, that is exactly where the road funds come from, GasolineTax. That is why there is a concern for breaking away from gasoline and going to more environmentally friendly fuels. Once this occurs, it will be necessary to start taxing something else to make up the difference in order to continue to maintain and build roads.

They should not be repaired.
By letting the roads go into disrepair it will further limit the freedoms of Americans. If Americans stop traveling it will further compartmentalize them. Making civil war easier to achieve.

Should be free! Tolls suck and it is an excuse to make the working person pay too much!!!! What happened to the suburban dream???? Tolls should not exist! They are another excuse to rob innocent working people of their hard earned money!!!
