A child will not fix the problems and will only make things worse. Either way it's going to come down to getting separated. You should do this now when you are still able to move out or move him out without having a new born around.

Also 2 children is far more then enough, if you're not sure about having a third one then don't.

Good Luck.

Problems or not, he's just added another responsibility to his plate.

Depending on what you mean as "problems", simply tell him. What happens between you two doesn't change the fact that you are this child's parents. But if he's violent with you, I suggest you take your other children and yourself out of harms way and not bother telling him.

Just be honest and tell him. If you both know he is the father he should accept the responsibility, after all he had to participate in the making of this baby.

If you're about to give birth to your 3rd bastard child from the same father I don't he'll be suprised no matter how you tell him. Personally I'd suggest you write it in your suicide note, as you seem to be unable to utilize birth control you should do something more effective to stop cranking out babies without the means to support them. Seriously considder getting fixed.
