any suggestions on how to fake my interview. Meaning how to make it sound like I want the job when Im not really that excited about it.

Been there, done that. You never really know about a job until you are actually in the position.
So before you take yourself out of the running, get the job. A good paycheck may have more meaning than you realize. So go to the interview as if your life depends on it and try harder to get the job.

They say with public speaking to pretend your audience is sitting there in their underwear. In this case, picture yourself talking to a stack of $1,000 bills and see if that may motivate you. If you really don't want the job, no amount of money is going to make you want it so maybe you should just move on to another situation.
If it's just an interview, you may not get the job anyway so use the interview as practice for the next interview where you do want the job. It doesn't matter if the job pays triple what you want to earn, if you are not going to be happy then you're not going to show up. Do yourself and your employer a favor and decline the job. Don't settle for less.

I agree with Ray - you may not get the job... and more to the point, if you really don't want it, don't take it. Life's too short to spend time doing something you don't want to do. Someone else may love this job. Decline, look for something that suits you better.

See faking is simple you have to feel that u need it. No issue that you need it in reality or not. Just try to fake yourself. The moment you will feel you need a job,,, try believing in that you have got the Job. This is a funda of ur mind power, just go on try it, believe it works.

well if you're not really interested with the job don't bother going to the interview. believe me you wouldn't stay with that job you'll treat it as a burden. if you really need a job well find a job that suits your taste or better yet start a business
find a job that you'll love

Everytime they ask you a question, just think about taking the paycheck to the nearest bank and cashing it and all the things you could by with it.
This will produce a genuine smile when you answer the question.
