I agree....Why do we still vote? It doesn't matter who you vote for. Voting is just a way for the people to picking who is going to screw them next.

Please try to not be so discouraged. There are good men and women in both parties as well as plenty of bad.

What's going on now isn't new. Consider these quotes of Ben Franklin from the 18th century:

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch."

"Democracy means simply the bludgeoning of the people, by the people, for the people."

"Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right."

Mr. Franklin didn't hate democracy. He simply had a deep understanding of it. My favorite quote on Democracy is by Winston Churchill. He said:

"Democracy is the worst form of government in the world........ except for all the others.".

Voting isn't our only duty in a Democracy. We should also be attending our party Caucasus, communicating with our representatives, and working withing the system so we know the details of what is going on.

We are a government of the people.

Cheer up. Yes we should still vote. And, more.

If you want a civilised society we need to pay taxes and we need elected representatives to spend money on our behalf. The question is how much do we pay and how is it raised, and where should the money be spent. If you don't vote don't complain.
