All my life i have had alot of unwanted hair. Above and below my belly button, back, breasts, arms, toes etc. Its blonde but still bothers me. I am always concious of it. My mother was the same but i think i am worse than her.
What causes this? should i do something about it now while im young? or is there nothing that i can do? just keep waxing my body every couple of months.
I would like to know if there are any other women like me?
This is something i am very embarrased about so please no harse comments because i have had to put up with them all my life. I want a personal or medical opinion.
Thanks

Hirsutism refers to increased hair in the so-called sexual distribution. Sexual distribution simply means skin areas on which men and women have different amounts of hair. Hair growth on these areas is due to the effect of testosterone on the hair follicle. As I have just mentioned, hirsutism can affect chin, upper lip, sideburn area, neck, chest, abdomen and pubic region as well as upper thighs.

Yer im kind of the same. I use an E-Pen then wax. I am not sure if its working because i only have been using it a few months but you should try it. Dont worry about it! just keep waxing and no one will no. I am sure you are beautiful and at least the hair isnt black!

the waxing is probably the best thing you can do. you are very normal, so don't worry. anybody who gives you a hard time is ugly inside and sucks to be them.

you could try laser therapy but because your hair is light, the contrast between skin and hair is almost non-existent. this would mean the laser wouldn't be as effective because it works on contrast to find and destroy the root.

i have a beard so at least you can wear a shirt over yours.

it has to do with testosterone production. since you are female your testosterone won't increase and things should stay the way they are. you can get laser electrolosis or wax a lot if you choose. it is pretty normal to have some peach fuzz in odd places.

Look on web for info on hirsuism, the proper name for it. I've just had a quick glance and there is quite a bit of info on it.
