It seems pretty difficult
with at least a couple of languages "desirable" . I have also heard that the HR department does not really review applications over the net and depend much more on internal recruitment. Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Don't know, is it as impossible as it seems? I've never tried! Get a job as a tea boy or something there first, then you'll be internal already :)
That's how a large number of people get into television. They start with the crappy jobs and work their way up.

As it happens, and if you are viewed as a total wanker by most of the world, but are approved by America as a toady ar se licker, you can have the job as Secretary General.

no its much the same as anywhere else - check with them for vacancies - they are the same as anywhere else - they wont just accept random CV's for jobs that dont exist. they will advertise or headhunt for specific jobs.

try their internet for career opportunities and local press near their offices for lower grade jobs
