well, the first love always feels the best and only, simply because its the first, and you give it your all. But if it has left you, perhaps it wasnt a true love? But is there ever such a thing as a true love? just try see it as a beautiful experience that you were blessed enough to recieve, and even if it has left you, you can always use it as something to learn from. but please dont become like most people and use your first heart break as a means to destroy all future relationships, people often compare and expect because of their first partner, and have this inner resentment which makes all other relationships fail. You should see each relationship as a lesson and a gift, finding the best parts of what you can take with you. We are all alone, no matter how close we are to our partners, so see a relationship as a special encounter, feel blessed when it goes, and feel blessed if it lasts. but never blame yourself or the other person, someone is holding the cards, and has a plan...

you are like almost every other person on earth
you realize that your better off being young and single, yet having known true love
you move on and find you second true love, then the third, then the forth and so on
then maybe youll find a true love that you can actually live with for the rest of your life.. or untill the next true love
and life goes on

If you lose your first love at a later age it's worse. More painful. If you're young, you forget easier, move on easier.

Then it wouldn't have been True love to start with.
You then wait for true love to happen to you by meeting more people.
Don't go searching for it. More often than not it happens when you least expect it!
