I always liked Jack Benny. He was the master. Today I would say Jerry Seinfeld. Both of them were great.

I think there are a few, for different kinds of comedy. For more intelligent comedy, Dennis Miller has no peers. Funny as hell. For more down and dirty comedy, Denis Leary is great, the best redneck comedian is the one who perfected the genre, Jeff Foxworthy, and the best prop comedian is Gallagher.

i imagine Burns and Allen were the perfect. Very slow and understated comedy. And the teach became very inventive contained in the way that George would drop his personality now and again and communicate instantly and confidentially to the target market. "i like Lucy" would were better suited, in my view, devoid of Lucy. All that piie-in-the-face stuff i imagine is amazingly unfunny. also Lucy's characteristic "W-A-A-A-A-A-A-A!" yet Ricky became humorous. And the Murtzes were tremendous too.

My favorite comedian is a tie between Dennis Miller and Bill Engvall.

As for the guy that said George Bush, Bush didn't cost 10,000 lives. He didn't cause their deaths, it all started with the destruction of two towers. How easily you forget.

The Marx Brother do it for me...something classic.
Also, stand-up like Lee Evans or Peter Kay is great, they really pick up on human issues, very clever.

Eric Bana. In Australia before he was popular in the US, he was on a comedy skit show here called Full Frontal. He was absolutely hysterical. I was watching the reruns today and he was brilliant at comedy.
