I don't think that politics will be an issue because thais are completely devoted to the king. In terms of weather, it is coming up on the end of the rainy season is southern Thailand. The rainy season ends right around the first two weeks of Nov. This is also when the prices dumble because it starts the high season. Railay Beach in Krabi province is incredible.

It depends on what you like. The weather is not yet the best, though many of the hotels have switched over to their peak season rates already. There are much fewer people than there will be in another month or two when things are sunnier. It is quite a bit cooler now, if that is what you prefer. Nice if you are going to the north.

The political stuff poses no real problem to tourism. A very large part of the economy here is BASED on tourism, they do not want that to be shaken up (more than the tsunami and fears of political instability already have).

Monsoon season is from the very start of Jun - Sept. Not sure when it is you are wanting to go. Otherwise if you meant safety wise it is perfectly fine to travel to Thailand right now

If there is anything I can do for you to assist you with Travel please email me and I can give you my contact info.

I live here, and it is the perfect time to come as it is just before it gets too busy.
