You could spray it with some kind of fixative or protective spray (probably have something in art supply store). I used to just use hairspray on charcoal & pastel drawings. Just so it doesn't smudge. But it shouldn't be too bad just putting it on a photocopier once.

Yes it will.
I don't think you should photocopy any drawing especially if it is an rare original work. Every time you make a photocopy you will use light that will eventually damage the work. Doing that you will also destroy the monetary value an original has by being original. I strongly suggest you consult an expert about doing that.

from the light you could have light fadeing depending on how long it is on the scanner or exsposed to light. but other than that it shouldn't effect it at all.

no. unless you drag it and smudge it the copier will not harm it.
