If your ex "loved" u earlier then yes he still does, just not aware of it, its cuz one can never "hate" a person whom one has loved. Also you need to know that love n hate are very strong words n should be used carefully.
Does he regret breaking up with you... mayb mayb not, depends on what his reasons were for breaking up.
Soul mates... its a debatable topic, depends on if you believe in soul mates. If you do then you should realize that soul mates are supposed to be there forever with you, so there wont be any breakups. If you dont believe in soul mates then you need to know that he was another companion in your life's journey. Many such people will come & go. You will meet someone by chance or opportunity, and if u get along well then you both will need to work hard at your relationship.
Believing in soul mates makes it easier to explain the idea of 'love' but it also makes it equally harder to explain breakups. Not believing in soul mates makes it harder to trust n commit to someone but makes it easier to cope with breakups... so its your call :-)

Don't be so whiny and foolish. He left you, so how in the world could he be your soulmate? Move on with your life; you'll be much more appealing and attractive to a new partner if you stop moaning about THIS one!
