Nixon resigned in disgrace, and Bush has gone far beyond what Nixon did. Why should he continue as
President?
Should he be impeached and tried so limits on
Presidential power are made clear?
Don't the people deserve an accounting?

I would rather see a lame duck presidency - a majority could be used to stop his policies, notably his judicial appointments and foreign policy mistakes. Impeachment is quite unnecessary, and has the additional problem of continuing the partisan rancor that has so poisoned political discourse.

It would take about two years to investigate, bring a bill of impeachment in the House, have hearings, vote, then conduct a trial in the Senate. Unlike Nixon who resigned before the House was to vote to impeach, Bush would hang on until the bitter end. And, all the while, Democrats would be accused of keeping the executive from doing his job. Partisan bitterness would increase and this has always benefited Republicans. Republicans would win big in 08.

Nixon resigned becouse he new he was wrong.
bush on the other hand feels he is justified in his decisions thus far as our commander and chief, I personally would love to see bush kicked out of office but like the majority of americans we will have to endure the remaining term with the man. And as for the reason, only the leaders of our great country really know and fully understand.

P.S.

Anyone that would claim Bush a better president then Clinton should have their head examined.

NO, it would take forever and congress would do nothing else hummmm now maybe that is a way to keep them from screwing something else up.

It would be a giant mess and doesn't it tale 2/3 vote of the senate to do this? Don't forget most of the Democrats voted yes to get us into the war if that's the main thing that's driving you.

Also it's hard to use stupidity as the major reason to impeach the guy.

i haven't heard every person say it became into overwhelming. I do hear human beings say that the mid-term vote proportion became into overwhelming, regardless of the undeniable fact that it became into no longer. It in basic terms regarded overwhelming because of the fact the shift in the direction of the Democrats became into dramatic and vocal. as a ways because of the fact the Senate is going, they do count quantity it as a majority because of the fact traditionally Independents tend to vote on the factor of the Democrats. in case you have the Democrats vote casting as a bloc, and the Independents vote casting Democratic, then that basically leaves 9 out of 40 9 Senators to sway to the factor of the invoice. precise now the Republicans are divided and contentious interior the Senate, as a rule over Bush and his regulations. based on the invoice itself, it may no longer be that complicated to benefit the help of nineteen% of the Republicans.

You know....

You need to get your head out of your butt.

Right now our Commander in Chief has a job to do much more important than have to play political games with people like you or Liberals who can't see past the end of their noses..

You may not like the man, we all may feel that President Bush has made some major errors in judgement, but right now we need a man of President Bush's resolve pushing ahead on this war on terror that we are in.

In 2008 there will be a decision made who will lead us into the next decade. For now let Bush to do the job he is meant to do. You need to stop playing political games with *all* of our futures.

As much as I would like to see him gone it would take to long. What we need is for the Congress to grow a backbone and reign in the maniac. Unfortunately the Republicans will put what they think is the good for their party over what is good for the country.

I am one of the people, too. There is no evidence of an impeachable crime. I think a lot of people just want the accounting that is in sync witht their personal beliefs.

They should throw Clinton in prison for 8 years of corruption and not doing his job.
Hillary should be removed from office for being the real mastermind.
