G'day Regina R,

Thank for your question.

Not usually as a hermaphrodites penis is usually unable to achieve full erection. Hermaphrodites are never able to reproduce.

In zoology and botany, a hermaphrodite is an organism that possesses both male and female sex organs during its life. In many species, hermaphroditism is a common part of the life-cycle. Generally, hermaphroditism occurs in the invertebrates, although it occurs in a fair number of fish, and to a lesser degree in other vertebrates.

The term "hermaphrodite" has historically been used to describe people with ambiguous genitalia or biological sex. The broader term intersexual is often used and is preferred by many such individuals and medical professionals. However, some hermaphrodites do not like the sexual connotations and misunderstanding of the word "Intersexed" and thus prefer to use hermaphrodite instead. The term is still used by the pornography industry, though often as a synonym for transsexual, as true human intersexuals are rare.

I have attached sources for your reference.

Regards

I have no idea but....

Now that you've reminded me, what I've always wondered is can a hermaphrodite impregnate him/herself? I don't mean commit some sort of mastubatory act; I mean literally create a child purely and only from itself.

I don't have enough points to waste on Questions in this deal yet, but if I did, I'd ask, because I really am curious.

I knew one in Utah, who lived as a female and had children. Her penis was like a child's. I've heard of people born with both sets of sexual organs complete. If this was the case, not only could they have orgasms on both ends but they could also get themselves pregnant! Not sure if its happened before, but its always a possibility.

I believe that only one of the two sexual organs develop to normal size, not both it is either one or the other. Do a search on a medical web site and you should be able to get some of your questions answered. Good luck

I believe *most* hermaphrodites are incapable of orgasm from either. The vagina does not have a clitoris and the penis does not have testicles, so how could they?
