If I sell my soul to the devil but cheat him out of it, as so many folk heroes do, would I go to heaven? Or does cheating even the devil just put another mark next to my name in St. Peter's big book?
What do you think and why?

I know what you mean Babylon, I was hoping someone could understand this is an either/or question yet nobody has asnwered Heaven or Hell yet. At this point anyone could get 10 points just by tying 4-7 letters. Take a side folks!

Heaven. After all, this life, with all your cheating, rubbing shoulders with the archfiend and general naughtiness would pass for hell and seperation from God. Look forward to a long rest, pipkin!

First off I don't believe that you can trick the devil. Why? for the devil is very old. Also all of man's trick were first created by the devil. The devil may be the most evil thing that was ever created, But lets not forget that the devil is also a fallen angel and the devil has the wisdom of the ages. Please don't even think of messing with the devil for it will be you that gets the short end of the stick. Stay with God for it is his word that will give you eternal life.................... Also those hero's are just stories created to trick men into being stupid and that is enough reason's to stay on the side of God.

Folk heroes? are you refering to a certain song. by a SOUTHERNER.?Cracker.? we southerners can beat out the devil any ole day. the prince of the power of the air as the bible discribes it. is in this world. it is a vast apart of this world son.it controls this world.the only place he has not got to and can t get to, is your soul .you ve got inside you, if you do not have contact with that higher power then you are lost. you must ask the spirit to come into you. welcome it. with faith.because the devil has allready got you. in his hand. and you just don t know it, YET. but you will. when you die, you will find out. better decide now.before it is to late.thats what I think.

I'm getting used to being disappointed.

Actually if you concider the mythology "selling your soul" isn't possible. If you would concider the deal, you are "his" already and he has no need to offer you anything for it.
