Well I'm sure there's many ways of going about it but I went on the net and took an address, then wrote to them to ask how to go about auditioning. They sent me an application form and I had to give a photo, then a few month's later I received a letter to go and audition!!
I don't know how good you are but we all have different perceptions of ourselves when we sing, so just remember to go in with the full knowledge that there are going to be others there that have amazing talent so go in with your eyes open and be under no illusions.
But most of all just go and enjoy it. It was so nerve racking but everybody there is in the same boat and so are all very supportive, I met some really lovely people and had a wicked day, am even thinking of going back again next year myself!

At the end of the series there is a number that you can call to get an application sent out. Fill in the application and send it away and you will receive a letter asking you to come for an audition. This audition is not with Simon, Sharon and Louis, it is with a member of the production team or a rep from Sony BMG. If you suceed then they will ask you to come back the next day for an audition with the Judges.

learn to sing and audition, the list and dates of auditions are on the x factor website about 4 months before they hold them,

Too late this year. Keep an eye out on the net for next year. But really dont know why you want to put yourself through that.

You sing your little heart out while moving around in a sexy and smooth sort of way that the judges approve of, and then you shall get through.
