Well a pregnancy test checks for the presence of the HCG hormone in the woman's urine. Her body does not start creating that until she falls pregnant, so a false positive is highly unlikely (although it happens but very rarely - if you want to play it safe, take another test. TWO false positives should be close to impossible!)
So I'd say regard yourselves as pregnant - congratulations! Do go to the doctor though, he'll be able to give you advice and answer all your questions.

Pregnancy tests are fairly accurate, but even on the box, it recommends that you get confirmation from your doctor. Why wait?
