To bring back the TV series ANGEL without getting consent from Joss Whedon? David Greenwalt is the other creator for the show. He may want to bring it back. The show had so MUCH more potencial to end it the way they did. I have written scripes of idea's and story lines.

Basically, no. The rights involved are a bit complicated, but include both Mutant Enemy (Whedon's production company) and 20th Century/Fox - the production studio for the series. Both retain rights to the series and the characters, and both would have to be involved in any production.

Keep in mind that WB cancelled Angel almost at the end of production of Season 5, effectively giving Whedon all of five episodes to wrap up his storyline and, potentially, end the series and not just the season.

That's why the up-to-that-point never-mentioned "Circle of the Black Thorn" became so prominent, as a device to force the final battle.

Yet Whedon kept shopping the series around, and was hoping it was going to get picked up and, if not, he was hoping to at least get a few television movies for the 'verse.

But he also developed the final set of episodes to be "the final statement about 'Angel'".

Sure, the series had continuing potential, but I - for one, and maybe the only one - liked the way it ended. liked the ambivalence of the ending.

To get an idea of what Whedon was considering for the movie (he actually had 3, and the one about Spike would have been the followup to Angel), read the interviews with Amy Acker and Whedon.

Whedon and the studio apparently couldn't come to financial terms, so as of June the movies are no longer being planned.

So you may just have to content yourself by writing fan-fiction. There are a number of sites that cater to Buffy/Angel-verse fan-fic.

I don't thinks so, I think he was the main creator. It's the same with Buffy. I think Josh wanted to concentrate on different projects and that's why Angel finished up. He made that sci-fi series Firefly and then the film Serenity that's a spin off.

I'd like them to bring both Angel and Buffy back as they where 2 of my all time favourite shows but I don't think its going to happen. I just have to make do with watching my box sets.
