Wow, if you feel you don't have support at home you need to find another adult in your life to talk to. Take some time, somehow if you can, and think carefully on all this. If you are certain the way you feel is not going to change (ie you are not just having a bad day today, but you'll see things in a different perspective tomorrow or next week) find a way to approach your pastor or a family friend about your concerns.

I dont know what causes epilepsy, but I had a very small glimpse of what it's like (I think) when I took Prozac for three days and then stopped to see what the withdrawal would be like. From that, I can theorize that the epilepsy might be a reaction to avoiding some emotional pain from this or a past life (if you believe in that). If drug salad is what the doctor sees as best for dealing with your epilepsy, try to think of it as the drugs beginning to release some emotional pain, which can manifest as physical. Write whatever you can about what you're experiencing, and maybe do sketches or paint; after going to a healer a few years ago, I started writing poetry like it was going out of style and while I am in the midst of a whole lot of pain without anyone really acknowledging it or seeming to care that I'm going through it, it helps to have something to go back and look at since my memory is not yet photographic. I wasted a whole year just being in pain, and only made three pieces of art to show for the whole year.

Hi kiddo.
Im really sorry to hear all you are going thru. It's too much for anybody, specially you as a child.
Read carefully all the other answers. You might get hint on what to do on every answer. My husband has epilepsy too so i think i can give you a little help. This is my opinion on what you should do:
Read all the leaflets of your medecine and underline on each of them all the side effect that you are feeling. Some can cause depression other can affect your body phisicaly. When you see the doctor tell him what are you feeling and show him your "homework" (underlined leaflets). If that does not help, here it is step 2.
Talk to your parents or anybody that you are very close to and you feel can understand you.Ask them to take you to a different doctor (my husband has impoved only after changing the doctor). The doctor that you are seeing now could be given you to many and to strong medicines for your age.If possible try to find out if the doctor is a specialist in children epilepsy.Has he ever ask you this: when/where/for how long and what is your behaivour when you have a fit?Has he asked you (or any adult) to make note of it?If he has never asked you this then he should!Maybe you need to change not only the doctor but the hospital where you are been treeted. My husband goes to a hospital in the city (london) in queens square(sorry can't remember the name...).
You have to be strong to help yourself.
Maybe you should talk to a counselour as well.
You seem to be a very intelligent kid. Have a look on this website:
http://www.epilepsynse.org.uk/
It gives you very usefull information about children medication and hospitals for children who have epilepsy.
Wish you all the best and hope you get better very soon.
God bless you.

Baby, I am so sorry.. I wish I could actually help you.. I think its horrable how they are putting kids on all these drugs nowadyas.. You need to tell this doctor what you are feeling.. but Im sure youve tried this..
Just try to be very clear and firm with your grandparents and your doctor.
Why are you on all these meds?
Why do you take them?
If they are hurting you this much, and your grandparents are not giving you any other choice, dont take the pills.. refuse to.. its YOUR body.. but be mindful of the reprocussions if you do so.. you mat need to ween off these meds, there may be withdrawl sympoms... Google these drugs you are taking..
Obviously you have got some major problems, and maybe your grandparents know of no other way to deal with them.. Are you seeing a counselor?
All I can say is talk to your grandparents.. be an adult about it.. you are on adult drugs.. you might as well.. tell them this is riuning your life. Look up alternitive medicines and solutions.. There must be something else.. Try a different doctor.. Talk to someone who can help you.. counseling seems to be nessicary here..
If you would like to talk, I'd like to help you further if I can.. If you have yahoo messenger my screen name is punkdoesabodygud
If not, you can e mail me..
My prayers will be with you, I hope nothing but the best for you and your grandparents.. and kitty :)
Take care, and dont give up!

It really really sounds like you need to talk with your doctor and tell him whats going on ...you could very well be on the wrong type of medicine ...No one should be going through what you are
Are you afraid of your Grandfather dear ? ... Does he even know that your hurting so badly ? ... If your having problems talking with him is there another adult close by that you can tell your symptoms and your problems to ?
Please talk to someone ... you need to be reexamined by a doctor if your in so much pain ...they are trying to help you but they wont know if they are helping if you dont tell them ...
