From the ICC's decision:
"On the second charge of bringing the game into disrepute by refusing to play, I find Mr ul-Haq guilty in that on two occasions he led a protest against the Umpires by failing to come onto the field of play at the relevant time. I take the view, subject of course to any further submissions Mr Gay may wish to make, that this is a Level 3 charge, leading to a penalty of a ban of between 2 and 4 Test Matches or between 4 and 8 ODI Matches".
So the ban was because that is the penalty for that offence. Inzi could have appealed, but did not.

Even though the test match is disrupted by his act of misconduct, punishment can be either suspension from Test Match or from ODI. Since Pakistan was not playing any Test Match immediately and the earliest matches Pakistan is playing are One Day International, he has been given the ban for ODI.

well he is banned for ODI because u know that a test match is of five days..........that will make many days for the player to not play..........
like 4 test match banned so 20 days that player will not play..
but if 4 ODI'S so 4 days the player will not play..!!

Because of 'The Ball Tampering' he had done.He has been banned for 4 ODI'S because if he would have been banned for 4 tests he would have to stay out for a long ! long! time say a month.
