The difference is table fan is placed on table and ceiling fan mounted on ceiling.
Why is it so as you can't mount a table fan on the ceiling and vice versa. Does that answer your question? ;)

Well mate I dont know whether u have used any or not
But still I can say this much only that in a cieling fan it has got long blades hanged on in a cieling, blowing wind downwardly. Where as Table fan blows air directly and can rotate in the room my moving his neck.
Cieling fan is normally not displaced (under subject to condition) but where are table fan are normally displaced.
Nyways how is the usage that can be well appriciated.

The difference is the blades and their size. It is very difficult to make a desk fan that will have blades of 0.6m long. Too much space would have been lost. Therefore they orientated the fan parallel to the ceiling where this is a dead space what so ever and they increased the blade size.
The desk fans in order to compensate they had to turn quick in order to create the same air flow BUT take into consideration the directivity. One has a very wide angle will the other has a smaller one. Although they air flow might be the same the desk one makes you feel that it produces more. Something relevant happens to satellite disks and the level of their bending and how much energy they radiate / absorb and at what angles.
As a main advantage the ceiling has the use of “dead” space and the creation of a vertical stream that cool the whole body.
Desk ones are faster more directive” easy to handle and easy to point to…
There so many thing to consider……..

A ceiling fan only gives a column of air downwards, and is mostly used as a decorative item for a room.
A table fan can give air to a person who is working at a desk, computer etc. and is designed to cool only the immediate surroundings. however it can be moved around to other places if needed.

Table fan throws the air across the room,it can be multy speed or single speed, rotating or fix and can be purchased with remote controls.
Ceiling fan circulates the air floor to ceiling or ceiling to air
(pusses air down or up). It may or may not have revering switch, remote control or any other features.

A table fan sits on a table and is portable, a ceiling fan is on the ceiling and is not portable, unless you have a portable ceiling.

Ceiling fans can break your fingers if they are too low and you take your t-shirt off. Table fans can't.
