always make sure the rich and wealthy get all the good reports, and the normal people get all the bad ones? If a celebrity was to die, for instance, they would get praised. If a normal person was to die, they would get ignored unless it was a murder case, which then they would become famous anyway.

Well, ask yourself who owns and controls the news? Who owns and controls the overwhelming majority of the world's resources. Not the 90% in which we belong, but the top 10%. When was the last time a striking picket got represented fairly?. When was the last time that political discussions on TV tackled the underlying causes of the world's problems (ie Capitalism). A very long time ago, that's when. Start to be critical, people. Don't accept the rubbish you're fed. Let's start a democratic revolution to control our own destinies - its overdue. World Socialism (in its true sense) - NOW

News Values.

People care more about celebrities, because they actually know who they are.

I don't mean it as if the people would only physcailly care if it was a celebrity over a normal person, but they don't know anything about the person if they weren't famous in one way or another.

Also, the media feel they can slag off celebrities as much as they like and get away with it, because they're celebrities, but the chances of them getting away with slagging off a normal person and getting away with it is quite slim.

Celebrities get mentioned.

Just being rich doesnt - try and remeber the last 10 billionaires that were mentioned at the time of their death ( excluding those that had courted celebrity by being the richest or owning media companies etc)

The reason we are interested in celebrity deaths is the same reason we are interetsed in celebrity lives.

This is the BBC News with Huw Edwards - "Good evening, tributes are being paid to Mrs Ethel Scoggs who has died at the age of 68. Ethel was taken ill on Saturday night after a curry at a local restaurant, but died of unrelated complications earlier today. Also in the news tonight: (Bong) Dad of four Joe Smith dies after a short illness, (Bong) former burglar Ted Grunge suffers a heart attack, (Bong) and Mrs Headlouse of Hove chokes on her own vomit after a heavy session in the Gunners Arms."

Hope this answers your question.

Who wants to know about you or your death, No one wants to know if you are pregnent or have a baby, unlike Brad and Jolie. They are super rich and famous.

WHO'S INTERESTED IN JOE BLOGG'S DIEING UNLESS AS YOU SAY THERE'S SOMETHING UNUSUAL ABOUT THEM .
CELEBRITIES ARE JUST THAT AND THE PUBLIC DO SHOW INTEREST IN THEM SO THE T.V RATINGS GO UP AND THE NEWSPAPERS GET BOUGHT.
PERSONALLY I DON'T LISTEN OR CARE ANYMORE ABOUT MOST OF THE NEWS AS IT DOES NOT CONCERN OR INTEREST ME
