A variant of Fermi's paradox.

That and I made a typo in the title. "Why have WE not yet made contact?"

There is intelligent life in the universe, Humans. (Though I'm not sure based on the lack of intelligence I've seen on Y!A.)

Are you referring to non-Earth intelligent life? No one knows. It's impossible to prove a negative (no life) until we've visited ALL the possible sites throughout the universe.

But I think that we've been invaded by a hostile alien life form that's trying to take over the world. See the picture below.

We exist and until recently, your species was not evolved enough to handle contact with us. Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species and your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

Fermi's Paradox is a crock of cr ap...it's arguments are circular and non-logical.

With the modern advances in DNA research Statistically speaking we have got to be alone - this is fact

People's belief that we are not in the face of the mathematical research is akin to people believing that Noah and his Ark set sail with all the animals....it is a science myth

Let me turn this around. We are intelligent life, why haven't we made contact with another planet yet?

Because the distances are too prohibitive. By the time a message was to reach us, the species of origin will probably be extinct due to Super Nova or Black Hole.

All of our television and radio transmissions are speeding their way through space as we speak. And in a few million years they will reach the nearest star to us, maybe in a few billion years they will reach a planet with intelligent life, but will we still be around to get their reply? I doubt it. And if we are, we certainly won't still be on this little rock.

I'd say that if they were intelligent they'd likely avoid having anything to do with us. George W B might just try to send them a nuclear enema before he had a clue what he was dealing with. Face it, we are the mold on the orange, humans are a disease of the universe. Oh yes, we will leave this planet. We will colonize other worlds. And we will likely be very unwelcome wherever we go. And we will go. That is unavoidable. Assuming we don't kill ourselves off before we have effective means to get into space.

Our mere existence is proof enough for us to believe that other planets in this Universe like Earth can exist. We have not been able to trace them yet, and for all u know they might be less developed than us scientically or may be more. Live till u make space on their planet.

Because we're not of any interest. If aliens visited the Milky Way Galaxy and went to Earth, it would be like a Japanese tourist visiting New York City, and going to see some random taxicab driver who lives in Brooklyn.

"Let's swing by Earth and see what's up."

"You gotta be kidding."

"I was. My bad."

If there is intelligent life, it would be farrrrrr away from us.... a message would take more than 10 thousands years to reach us from them

If you were from a different planet, would you contact a bunch of cretins who fight each other over who has the best god. (There is no god by the way, but people seem to think there is).

The cell phone towers are not powerful enough to reach that far yet!
