That is something your father is going to have to deal with. There is nothing you can do. There is most probably a good reasonable explanation for his feelings. I would just leave it alone and try not to allow it to bother you. Or, if he is open with you, you may want to try and ask him what and why. However, that can be a scary situation who knows what the reasons are. Do you really want to know. Sometimes families have dysfunctional behaviors, and unfortunately you are going up in the middle of it. Good luck and God bless.

Maybe your grandparents did not approve of your father. Felt he was not right for your mother when they first met and married.

Have you asked your dad why is dislikes them? Maybe he just has no patience for the elderly.

My grandparents are all dead and I never really knew them to well as they lived in another state. Probably the reason my parents had nothing bad to say about them.

Just love your grandma and grandpa and forget about your fathers misery!

You do not have to broker peace in these sort of things. Every person has his own likes and dislikes. Let your father dislike your grandparents, as long as he does not intend to harm them. You may try to have normal relations with all the parties concerned. These love and hate realtions in some cases will survive even your death. It is passed on to the next generation. Thank god, you are concerned about your grandparents.

We get excitement from the Nehru- Gandhi family individuals for the perseverance with which they have served the rustic. We appreciate Sonia Gandhi additionally. we don't tell one yet another whom they could desire to vote for. yet i comprehend that ordinarily our family individuals will vote for the Congress.

I don't think you can change his mind about how he feels about them. If he dislikes them, he dislikes them, and who knows, maybe there is a reason for that that you don't know about. He is certainly within his rights to decline going to their house. But you should tell him that nasty comments about them behind their backs are off-limits while you are around to hear them. After all, he should at least respect the fact that you're their grand-child.

You have to ask him why he hates them all. sometimes there may be a cause for that or your father may be something like money-minded. Money-minded people do not love other people.
