It is called sexual orientation...not attraction, and it is common amongst many animals as well as humans. Why we don't always understand how it happens, but like heterosexuality, it is neither good nor bad....it is how people see it or deal with it.

Biological attraction, natural for some guys. As someone said, studies clearly indicate gay males are more often the last child in the family or youngest male in the family, so it sounds like a genetic approach by nature to reduce or limit reproduction. Maybe in a few hundred years, most guys will be gay in order to curb the overpopulation problem.
Also remember, it is not black and white. There are guys who like guys, and girls that like girls. The less-talked about group are the ones that enjoy sex with either males or females: bisexuals. There are a whole lot more bisexuals than all the gays and lesbians combined, they are just not as militant and demanding---just out for a good time I guess, enjoying life with whomever and not into this recognition stuff like same sex marriage etc.

We all have a sexual urge. Some people are attracted by both men and women. Some people are attracted to women and some people are attracted to men. It seems to be partly a matter of brain structure and partly a matter of the home situation. E.g. If you have an older brother, chances that you will be attracted to men are bigger than when you haven't. Chances are that when you have been brought up by your mother only you will be attracted to men.

Sexual orientation is generally considered to be genetic. In any case, research shows it is fixed before puberty. Gay men are attracted to men just as straight men are attracted to women. Both are perfectly normal, just different.
Nothing can change your sexual orientation, so don't listen to the bible-thumpers that will push their idea of 'reparitive therapy'. This is simply a brain-washing technique. Once the subject leaves the program, they revert to their natural orientation.

Sexually attracted to men? These men are either homosexual (attracted to their own sex) or bisexual (attracted to both sexes). There are many theories about sexual orientation. My belief is that it is the end result of both biology + social forces. In other words, there is an interaction of genetics/hormones and social forces that produces either a homosexual, bisexual, or heterosexual.
Socially attracted to men? Like men who like to hang out with men in sports and things like that? That man is said to be "homosocial." He feels more comfortable in the company (socially) with other men and often in a group of men. That has nothing to do with sex.

studies have shown if you are the second,third,fourth child to be all males you have a more of a chance that your genes will go for men other then women well it didn't happen to me I'm the second child male and I'm straight but its a genetic thing
