Amsterdam is great not that cultural but everyone is parting at a club which you will need a tickets for which will be around $75 and 100 euro. and you have to get them before hand an dfind out what are the hottest parties. There will be alot of people outside on teh street, bar hopping as you can get into local bars without any problem its just packed.

finding for some thing much less costly, unique, alluring and with good connections to London for sparkling year? i could flow to Zakopane in Poland. somewhat this is going to beat Amsterdam or Britain for environment, and Iceland and the Alps for cost for money. No ask your self that the form of British vacationer vacationing the rustic rose by using 40% final year!!! this is a superb, atmospheric city in Tatra Mountains. the charges are plenty better than in the West. It has an extremely unique highland way of existence (so some thing very diverse from the run-of-the-mill Alpine motels) - some people particularly do walk of their people costumes around. There are rather some flights from uk to the close by Krakow. jointly as there, you're able to have staggering walks in the mountains (which could seem somewhat scenic as we communicate), flow to the renowned salt mines (with underground chapels carved out of salt) in Wieliczka and notice the stunning Krakow itself. you're able to try a lodge or hiring a sort of staggering mountain cottages for the full group. And have faith me - the Polish people do comprehend a thank you to social gathering...:-))) you're sure to purpose most of the superb vodka in the international! A.

Probably Edinburgh, but avoid London it's a frickin' nightmare. Conversely there are some great nights out in Cornwall - Torpoint (of all places, would you believe) was voted in the top 5 of New Years p**s ups. Newquay is great too - probably not quite so cultural though.

Groningen, the Netherlands. A small city in the north of the country. I lived there for six years, and New Year's was always the best craic ... fireworks and champagne on the streets. Everyone goes a little loopy, including the publicans.

I've always quite fancied going to one of those black-tie balls in Vienna where the debutantes are out in force. Looks like quite a romantic place to be.
