I'm a fat guy, and while I'd never presume I can "get girls to fall for me", I think there are several elements that help "us" out and occasionally overpower the purely aesthetic distaste that everyone in this day and age has been trained to feel towards excess weight.
In the first instance, we have to work harder on other areas of our lives, so little areas of romance and self-expression, as well as areas like listening and empathy, that might not necessarily occur to thinner or more handsome guys, are our stock-in-trade, which appeals to some women.
Acceptance also appeals to some. Chances are, if you're a fat guy in today's society, you've been on the receiving end of negative perception, so many of us are universally accepting - which can be more appealing to some women than having to worry about their own looks at every opportunity.
Similarly, we're relatively safe (or at least that appears to be the perception). We psychologically barter that up - Yeah, you might not get to be with a looker, but we're loving and open and you won't have to worry about us being the target for other women. (As I say, this isn't always true, but it's a perception that helps fat guys get girls to fall for them, so I thought I'd include it).
And finally I guess, there's a nugget of truth in the fact that many women find personality more important than looks, even when choosing people to have sexual relationships with. It's nowhere near as true as fat guys have a self-serving tendency to believe it is, but it seems to be there somewhere, so laughter, openness, some sort of wit or any other positive quality can help overcome the aesthetic barrier.

Well because some can. Really when they have money. And some are cute and sweet people. Some females look past the weight and look at the person as a whole. And thats what they're hoping to find. Why should they go around thinkin they can't get a female just because of their weight. Thats silly.

and WHY should a "fat" man NOT be confident about finding a mate? should all "fat" men just be alone, and not try to find love?
your question is as rude as it is ignorant.
the "attitude" you are noticing is called CONFIDENCE, and there is nothing sexier than a man w/ confidence.
fat or thin!
get over yourself. not every woman bases her choices for a mate on his body fat index. further more, if that is what you do..then that is quite sad. your missing out on knowing interesting ppl if you base your friendships/relationships on looks.

Because they can..... Not everyone has your hideous, insane attitude. I am thin but I don't always see the wrapper of guys I date. I look inside the person. I suggest you do the same and quit being so superficial. Grow up.

what does "....they can STILL get girls..." mean? so u think if u r fat u r not supposed to be in love or even try for it? there are lot many girls who fall for wits, attitude and intelligence than the measure of once waist.. may be u never came across any n found only dumb ones for urself.

because there are women out there that base loving someone on how they are treated, and the other persons qualities...not looks. However, it is beyond me how women can fall for shallow and judgemental people.....

Usually guys can get a girl regardless of their looks or attitude.
Girls however, if they're fat.... there's a big double standard.

I suppose they feel confidence for their personality and believe that they can attract a woman that way.
And I guess it might works sometimes...
To me though the appearance matters a lot, that's were you start from when meeting someone...
