I have always admired Tommy as he has done a lot of good for lots of people long before he became a MSP and it's not easy for me to believe that he would lie like he is alleged to therefore I shall wait until I see all the new evidence before rushing into a decision.. At the moment I think he is innocent..

well equally one can ask do you believe the News of the Wolrd were the most innocent whiter than white public servants exposing a shocking tale that actually hurt anyone? Or just possibly could they, as they have been proven to do in so many other cases, "helped" the situation along...all too often the papers manipulate, lie and distort get a story - someone goes to court and then strangely the case gets thrown out, the person acquitted, the paper and their minions lied under oath and they don't write another word about it... In the case of Tommy Sheridan if he lied under oath then he shoudl face another trial. Equally if the News of the World lied or perverted the course of justice - so should they. But remember their exposes and splash stories rarely do anything than provide gossip and hurtful stories of peoples private lives with no public good attached. Nasty the whole lot of them

I believe he's guilty. Remember 11 of his ex-colleagues gave evidence against him. While it wouldn't be impossible to find one or two people who are prepared to commit perjury for 11 to stand in the High Court and do it seems highly unlikely.
To me the original libel case should never have taken place in Scotland. He is a well known figure in public life and the media and there would have been some bias amongst jury members especially as his opponent was the News of the World.
Among the many witnesses were Members of the Scottish Parliament and I can't imagine them taking the chance of ruining their political careers by committing perjury.
Hopefully the truth will out in this latest police investigation.

to blame as hell. Why else might no much less that 17 witnesses tell an identical tale. Did all of them invent it? if so how come they;ve no longer been charged with Perjury? Had Sheridan been tried in any courtroom exterior of Scotland he would not have have been given off Scot unfastened, he's unquestionably-known with it, all of us comprehend it. he's generic of maximum politicans, corrupt, seedy, and power mad, yet additionally efficient adequate to infuence and pay for an surprising Defence lawyer.

The News of the World isn't a credible witness either way, they are full of shite.

it's a pity to see socialists tearing each other apart instead of displaying unity.
