What does the CMS say about a comma after etc.?

I am trying to procure a copy of teh Chicago Manual of Style, but till that arrives, I was wondering if anyone with a copy coud help. My problem is what to do when etc takes a period and the sentence isn't complete. Do I add a comma after the period?

Yes. Add a comma. The CMS is available online for $25. I used another site that depends heavily on CMS.
