She does have alot of good songs - Cambodia, Kids in American, Keep me Hanging on, Child Come Away....and heaps more.

she was pretty cool i supose.
she's also the highest selling british female pop singer of all time, with 40 million records sold, same as kylie minogue.

I liked her in the 80's.She is a professional gardener now and does commercials on tv for health foods.

I like her even though I know only two songs of hers ("Kids..." and "You Keep Me..."). She's not the best British singer from the 1980s, though.

If you want to hear the best, listen to Alison Moyet (her solo work and with "Yaz"). She *should* have been the second coming of Dusty Springfield. Unfortunately, if you're not good looking or (in Moyet's case) weigh over 150 pounds, you're "untalented" no matter how talented you are.

I'm glad that some big female singers can get by on talent (Chaka Khan, Queen Latifah, The Weather Girls a/k/a Two Tons of Fun), but most don't. I buy music for the music, not for whether the album cover makes me want to...uh, do something secret in the bathroom.

Minogue and Bouncy - oops, Beyonce - are proof that looks matter more than talent in this day and age.
