I finished Micro, Anatomy, Physio, Nutrition, Chem, English 1A/ 1B, Algebra, Sociology, Speech, Psych, and a few others. My question is: does this qualify me for a position within the health care field? Or get me close to something? I live in the bay area and the nursing programs are so impacted that I may be waiting a long time. Do I have any options?

you should have been required to take your cna classes too prior to entering the nursing program. this would qualify you for a nursing assistant position which is great b/c it gives you on the floor experience.

you could also work in registration, transport, or as a unit secretary. the unit secretary job is good too b/c you work on the floor entering doctor's orders-so it gets you used to what to expect as a nurse.

check with your local hospital about any of the jobs i just explained to you-good luck

What possibly concerns maximum to you in the version between the two classes is that this: An LPN software will take you approximately 18 months to end. then you particularly can try to your LPN license. An buddies degree RN software will possibly take you 3 years to end, and you may try to your RN license. As an RN you will make a good bit better than an LPN, and you have better hiring opportunities, different than for nursing residences (which hire so plenty greater LPNs than RNs). in case you do come to a decision to grow to be an LPN first, you may shorten your RN situations by using a sprint, yet no longer by using plenty. it is, the RN software will possibly aid you "try" out of a few scientific paintings, yet your center instructions will nonetheless could desire to be achieved.
