I've just started to play the acoutsic guitar, does anybody know of any quite simple songs to play. I'd like some songs with simple chord progression and only 4/5 chords in. I'll download the song and tab so song title and artist is enough. Thanks!

Most punk songs can be slowed down and played acoustic (as punk holds the axiom that "there is no forth chord").

When I started learning the first ones I learned on acoustic were Ash's "Girl From Mars" (even though it's normally played electric), Manic's "You Stole The Sun From My Heart" (ditto) and Bright Eyes "A Perfect Sonnet" and Green Day's "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)".

Recently I've also been trying an acoustic version of The Killers "Mr Brightside", which I found a tab for completely by accident while randomly googling.

Try 'A Hard Day's Night' by The Beatles. It only has a handful of chords. Great song too...

A great tab site is Ultimate-Guitar.com. It has many, many songs. AC/DC is always good as well as the riff from Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple, Iron Man by Black Sabbath and any Blink 182 songs.

Try some REM songs. Everybody hurts was the first song i learnt on the guitar. Also look for Paul Weller, esp Wild Wood.

If you are looking for a more rock/blues song, try searching for Cinderella's... Coming home, Heartbreak Station. Also look for Wild Horses by Rolling Stones... very easy song to learn.
