I believe in progression, socialism (having a safety net for the majority of the people in this country), caring for the basics that each and every human being requires to make it in this country.
I believe that everyone who wishes to get an education to any level should be able to do it without being limited by finances, or pushed into slavery to pay the wealthy bankers the absurd interest that they charge.
I believe that our constitution is the bible of this country and requires no interpretation.
I believe that no law should ever be made based on any religious belief and so did our forefathers when they signed that amendment.
I believe that giving up our constitutional rights in face of the enemy is a cowardly act and anyone who does so should be tried for treason.
I am a Democrat. . .because I am for the people of America, and all those who once believed that this was the greatest country in the world and wish to once again make it that way!

Democrat, i don't express the same beliefs as the republicans. However, i won't strictly vote democrat just because I classify myself as one. If the republican candidate, in my eyes, is far better fit for the position, then i will vote for him. I classify myself as Democrat, but always vote for the qualified person.

Republicans need to work harder on domestic issues and Immigration. Democrats seem to be whiners that want the government to supply them with everything. . Independent. Would go with the Libertarians except the leagl drug issues. I work in Public Saftey and I see the result of drugs daily on the lives of the people around the users. If it wasn't for that I might vote for Becky C.

I am a libertarian. Libertarians are really classical conservatives in many ways. I believe in as limited government as is possible (especially the federal), the restoration of any as many liberties, rights and freedoms as possible to indiviuduals., keeping government out of the economy (free market). I differ with some libertarians in believing that a strong national defense is a legitimate function of the federal government.
I favor abolishing the Welfare State. I vigorously support the right to bear arms. I favor open borders (controlled to eliminate criminals and terrorists)--to all who seek economic opportunity. I favor the legalization or de-criminalization of all drugs.
I differ from many libertarians in that I am anti-abortion on demand--I believe unborn babies have a fundamental right to life--and the federal government under the consitution has an obligation to enforce that right. I am free speech, etc.
Essentially I believe people should be able to do anything they want so long as they do not infringe on anyone else.
In elections if there is a good candidate from one of the main parties who supports some basic libertarian principles I vote for them. Otherwise I vote for the libertarian party--although I do not always agree 100% with their national platform.

I am a proud Democrat. They are the only center-left party in the country, and the Republican party stands for everything that I am not.
