Most speakers are a little nervous at the beginning of a presentation. It is quite normal to be nervous, so don't think you are alone. In fact, opinion polls show that many people are more afraid of public speaking than heights, spiders or even dying!!

Here are some tips to help you:

- Prepare you speech thoroughly.

- Make you speech relevant to the audience. They will be more interested and attentive if the speech is relevant to them.

- Rehearse before you give a speech (try rehearsing in front of family members and friends).

- On the day of your talk, show up early and have everything prepared before you begin.

- Walk around and meet some of the audience before you are due begin you speech. It often helps to have a familiar face looking back at you from the crowd.

- Just before you start talking, take a few deep breaths and exhale slowly.

- Try to speak slowly and calmly. People tend to speak quickly when they are nervous.

- Remember that the audience wants you to succeed. If you are adequately prepared, your mistakes will be few and the audience will usually not notice them.

- If you do make a mistake, just pick up the pieces and carry on. Don't stop speaking and don't apologize.

Also, take every opportunity to speak in public. The more times you do it the easier it will become!

I hope this helps

Good luck!

That is called "stage fright." People who has less practice or not mastered their speech are people who usually experience this. For you to avoid stage fright, all you need to do is PRACTICE, PRACTICE and PRACTICE. You can do this by standing infront of the mirror so you can see yourself, your movements, how you open your mouth and even your facial expressions so that when the day comes you will feel very confident. Also, don't bear in your mind that there are a lot of people. Just think that they are only few. But don't forget that when you give speech you should have contact to your audiences by moving your eyeballs and head from left, center and right. You can do it!

This replaced into so gorgeous to verify! in view which you're some years older perhaps that could have some thing to do with the awkwardness, I recommend perhaps he's basically a sprint stressful because of the fact he's uncertain in case you experience a similar way he does or in case you moved on or some thing. You ask why he's doing this, i think of the superb man or woman to ask is him and you adult males seem close sufficient which you're able to have the means to take action. in my opinion, it form of sounds like there has been an extremely stable underlying courting between you 2 that has progressed over the years and basically desires a sprint popularity in case you capture my glide. besides, good success chocolates!

The only real way to do that is keep doing it... but you need to find a way to relax... just look to the back of the room away from the people most times you should be able to look all across the back isle as not to let anyone think you have picked just one spot... practice makes perfect....

No matter what anyone would tell me, I would freeze up.

I have been told to picture everyone naked.
Picture everyone in a major orgy
Think of a great holiday
Think of a loved one.

NOTHING WORKS EXCEPT....

Be very prepared...so prepared that you speak your speech in your dreams....

Take deep breaths ....and breath calmly...once your out there find a focal point and stare at it and talk to it. If you can't relax then maybe you should take some assertive or public speaking classes
