I mean with three school shootings in a week and multiple police officers shot last week in broad daylight, it just seems like the world has gone nuts! Do you agree that things are worse now than they have been in the past?

When an entire generation of children are told that they will instantly go to Heaven by simply 'accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior' no matter howhorrendous their actions what do you or anyone expect? As recently as the late nineteen fifties popular films depicted people who killed people as being 'tainted' even when the killing was in self defense now films glorify killers as heroes not to mention video games that reward players for 'killing.'
Oddly enough -- -- -- there have been equally horrific times in the past -- - - - but most perpetrators pretty much figured they were going to H w L, nowadays a man can kill dozens then proclaim that Jesus loves Him before popping a bullet into their brain certain Heaven will the reward.

All through the ages there have been terrible things happening. Just read some of the Old Testament and it will give you the shivers. But I agree with you that the shootings are horrible. But thank heavens we can prosecute people that do those sorts of things.

Debatable, we have better ways of finding out information these days. Oh and how the media makes up stories, or exaggerates to get your attention....
Then again when I went to high school it was no big deal for the guys to have there riffles in there trucks, we never had a shooting..... now kids know if they go on and shoot up peeps they get what they need, attention.

yes they are worse . don't know the answer why. except the pressure we are under to perform these days is worst then in the past. i'm 67 and i can't beleive what i see on tv. all the copy cats

no things are getting better think about how far we have come how far we going to go,,science,human relations even our wars diffrent, think of all the good advances we have had in medicine law peoples rights,,its just like a rollor coaster ride sometimes but its good.

intolerance breeds more intolerance. when you have a president as crazy as ours you expect your society to come unhinged. if you look back through history bad leaders lead to more violence. we might be unhinged now but it doesn't mean we have to stay unhinged. vote responsibly.

in the middle ages they used to torture people
for fun,,,,,
maybe with spirituality we could improve things
